Confidence, fun, friends – build English Excel

 
English Excel is an intensive course aimed to prepare students for the challenges of our Cambridge B2 First preparation course. English Excel uses an integrated communicative classroom approach alongside a comprehensive syllabus to develop not only language skills but also exam-taking strategies.

English Excel students will study grammatical frameworks using real-world material in order to gain a thorough understanding of the intricacies of native English. The course is formative-assessment driven so students consistently receive feedback for and can improve on their reading and writing skills – all the while interacting in a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.

Accuracy and fluency are focused on equally in English Excel so students can feel prepared and self-assured in all their abilities when they move on to higher English learning. This fast-paced course is also taught by highly-qualified and experienced teachers who foster an inclusive and fun classroom atmosphere. English Excel is ideal for students who are ready to work-hard, be challenged and improve quickly.

English Excel Timetable

Activities

The monthly activities calendar offers an exciting array of activities 7 days a week including: Salsa dancing, winery tours, weekend camping trips and sporting or cultural events

Cambridge Club

Get to know all your fellow Cambridge students in the Cambridge study group. A room is permanently allocated for study group or self-study needs.

Assessment

Progress assessment is ongoing and includes weekly progress tests, regular review tests and a range of assignments, presentations and homework exercises.

Supervised Self-study

A teacher is in the library in supervised self-access periods to assist students with homework, resumes and questions from class.

Extras

Five hours a week of free extra classes are available to all students. Extra classes include: Pronunciation, TOEIC, Academic English, Vocabulary and Conversation.

Weekly Feedback

Teachers provide students with weekly feedback on their progress in one-to-one meetings and advise on how to improve in areas of weakness and build on current strengths.
